Why do we get away from your real Goal in life?
By Kapil Kakar
Life is a journey and the destination is self-realization i.e. your home your real home. And one finds many stations during this journey. The station, which eventually makes one cry, complain, happy, sad etc is building upon a force called Maya or Illusion. Why it is called maya is because it is unreal though it looks to be real. These stations work as an option for the Soul (us) whether we want to stop there for sometime and observe, judge and explore what is around or to move ahead immediately. If we are focused, concentrating with determination to get towards Self-realization then soul does move ahead ignoring all these stations.
The next question can be what makes the soul to stop at the stations?
It is the station in itself which is perceived as a material object through your senses, mind, intelligence which are the external attachments of the soul makes soul stop at the station. The Soul is not constituted by senses, mind or intelligence but soul is something superior to these. Soul (you) are the superior energy of God and others are the inferior energies of God.
IN Bhagvad Gita CH VII TEXT (4) LORD SAYS: “EARTH, WATER, AIR, FIRE, ETHER, MIND, INTELLIGENCE AND EGO: THIS IS MY NATURE OR ARE TOGETHER EIGHT CONSTITUENTS OF MY SEPERATED MATERIAL ENERGIES”.
IN Bhagvad Gita CH VII TEXT (5) LORD SAYS: “BESIDES THESE O MIGHTY ARMED ARJUNA! THERE IS ANOTHER, SUPERIOR ENERGY OF MINE, WHICH COMPRISES THE LIVING ENTITIES WHO ARE EXPLOITING THE RESOURCES OF THIS MATERIAL, INFERIOR NATURE”.
Though being superior to them still souls gets into the web of these because instead of it controlling these inferior energies, these inferior energies start controlling the Soul.
Since Soul stops at a station out of inquisitiveness (as it has surrendered to Senses, Mind & Intelligence) slowly, steadily and ignorantly it feels attracted to know more about the station and its surroundings. Hence in the pursuit of search of the unknowing station it eventually gets lost in that very station and its true aim of his journey. Moreover, after experiencing its desires and quenching its inquisitive about the station, it starts pondering what next? Then once again it makes efforts to find out his objective. And after coming out of that station and place, it again tries to get on to the main road but as per his SELF-CREATED NATURE again it wants to stop at the next station though not all. So it is inquisitiveness about illusion and its functioning and its experiences, once again deviating him, from the real path and forgets itself.
Earth is one such station in which we have desire to know and do so many material things. This halting process has every second got us more and more entangled and habitual of running after our desire that we have started taking this place seriously and we have also started believing that the real main road is a farce, and why not? As one finds himself surrounded by people who themselves are under illusion. Observing activities around him one starts taking wrong for right and right for wrong.
Man as a child first view world\'s activities with astonishment and he also protests in form of some relevant questions. But when those questions are ignored or made to look like a joke or when answers to those questions are manipulated, he is now left with the only option to believe all that happening around is the real truth. His innocence is influenced by people who had answered the questions dishonestly but also find that since they love him and take good care of him therefore he should no longer argue with them as he realizes by doing so he is irritating and annoying them. Hence he starts doing what he sees around and leads a purposeless life. Very few people have the courage to stand against all odds and be in pursuit of finding the real and undying truth of life. As already stated that start believing myth as a truth.
Therefore till the time one does not gather enough courage and sincerity in finding the real Goal of life quiet deservingly he will be lost and entangled in illusion, which he will think to be the only truth.
