To experience in abundance, one needs to have an open mind towards life. Look around and be ready to grab the opportunity of learning instead of overlooking, says Dr Kapil Kakar
Experiences are the invisible keys which unlock the limitless learning’s of life and open a plethora of inexhaustible knowledge waiting to be explored. However, one may find experiences in life overflowing and may stop inviting new ones. The deliberate ignorance towards these opportunities may further result in taking them for granted, without one realizing how much one is missing in life. The individual does not realize that he is letting go of a great opportunity.
Don’t be indolent: Experiences are waiting to be unfolded. But due to our laziness, we let them disappear for ever. We tend to take learning for granted and subconsciously believe that similar ones will come again in near future. But being indolent is no excuse to let go of a beautiful moment.
Exhausted: Often, if a common question is put across to people, “how is life?” invariably the answer is, “hectic”. By liberally using and hearing the similar terms, we are auto suggesting that life has become too frantic to experience something more. Moreover, we may also believe that since there have been plenty of experiences already, we can withdraw attention from the existing experience of opportunities.
Peace of mind: It is a myth that experiences result in losing the peace of mind. Instead, it takes us further within us with the feeling of joy and peace especially if we are looking at life with the perspective of observing and understanding closely. Therefore, experience the peace of mind by inviting experiences rather than running away from them.
Open mind: To experience in abundance, one needs to have an open mind towards life. Look around and be ready to grab the opportunity of learning instead of overlooking. Confront situations like fear, uncertainty, anxiety, stress, etc. with an open mind for learning something prolific not only from the consequences but from the process as well. Greater experiences lead to greater opportunity of learning thereby, moving ahead in life towards knowledge, humbleness and success.
